Those travelling from
Lisbon to Estoril will be delighted with the views of the coastline. After
passing Santos and Alcántara docks, visit Belém, Algés and Pedrouços.
Further along the coastline are the beaches of Santo Amaro de Oeiras
Carcavelos Parede and Estoril of course!
City of seaside
resorts, Estoril is well-known internationally for its natural beauty and individual
architecture blending with the surroundings. It is worth taking a stroll
along to Monte Estoril. Beaches on the Estoril Coast face south in a
continuous line from the Tagus estuary and are known for their calm waters
and fine sand.
EBLIDA will celebrate its annual Council meeting in parallel with the eighth annual Congress of the BAD, the Association of Portuguese Librarians, Archivists and Documentalists (Congresso Nacional de Bibliotecários, Arquivistas e Documentalistas), to be held on 12, 13 and 14 May 2004, with the theme "On the Crossroads of Information and Culture: (Re) inventing the Profession".
